Shots from around the engineering lab

  • [pict 1]: Testing of the burn-wire-release mechanism on the satellite in a vacuum.
  • [pict 2]: TU SAT1 will have four PC boards. As they are currently being fabricated, we are placing the components on printouts in preparation for populating the boards.

TU Sat 1 Antennas

  • [pict 1]: High-gain helical antennas that will track TU SAT1 as it passes overhead (note: dishes hadn't been installed yet).
  • [pict 2]: Antennas that will be tracking TU Sat1. The two Helicals are for the ham system and the dishes are for the 2.4 GHz system. The rotor in the middle will rotate the antennas.
