Romans 5:3-5

Are you feeling like your life is hopeless? Has that slight glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel slowly faded into nonexistence? Well, if you are a Christian, someone who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, you are told in this passage that, yes, there is hope in the midst of even the most severe times of suffering.

LOOK IT UP!!!

The man whom the Lord used to write this passage almost two thousand years ago was subjected to suffering far more severe than any of us will probably ever encounter. Yet, he found the strength in the Lord to write these words of encouragement to his fellow believers in the city of Rome.

Do you want the become more and more like Christ? Well, in Romans 8:28-30 God tells us that we are predestined to be conformed to the likeness of Christ. That means that we, as Christians, can look forward to the fulfillment of this promise.

Hang in there, friend. You have patience (or perseverance) to find, experience (sometimes translated "proven character") to obtain, and hope to see clearly as you make that decision to focus on the Lord and praise Him in the midst of circumstances far beyond your control.
