Systems

The Systems Program can be added to any major at Taylor.
Systems is an interdisciplinary program focusing on solving problems in a systematic manner using both analytical and computational techniques. Communication and presentation skills are developed in conjunction with interpersonal and technical skills. Systems Analysts generally do feasibility studies and preliminary interviews, then create formal representations of information flow, and specify computer systems needed to meet directives, correct errors, expand capabilities, or solve inefficiencies.

Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees with Systems may be obtained by adding 43-46 credit hours in systems, computer science, and related courses. The systems curriculum is designed to overlap with general education and major requirements, so that students have the opportunity to put several electives in their schedule. The systems program makes use of the excellent computing of the Computer Science and Engineering Department.

More than eight percent of Taylor students are graduating with the systems curriculum included in their degree. They come from almost all of the academic majors.
