Dr. Tom Nurkkala

Tom has just joined our department beginning with spring semester, 2008. He holds an M.A. from Bethel Seminary, St Paul, Minnesota, and a Ph. D. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota. He comes to Taylor with nearly thirty years of experience at both small and large commercial software companies, software consulting, and government contracting. Tom is joined by his wife, Darci, and three children.

I'm excited to be joining the Taylor family. I look forward to teaching and ministering at an institution that focuses on training students to excel in their disciplines and to grow as servants of Jesus. The department's history of faculty and student involvement in Missions Computing is also exciting, and I hope to contribute materially to extending and expanding on this legacy.
