![]() | Projects > PalmSurvPalmSurv is a software application for Palm devices that takes the tedium out of entering word lists into WordSurv. In times past, linguists would write down their findings about a language while out on the field, and then later transcribe them into a computer for analysis. Using PalmSurv, they can enter their data directly into a handheld computer while on the field and then import it into WordSurv electronically. Mr. Ed Barker started this project while he was a student at Stanford University and brought it to Taylor where it was used as a study on engineering methodologies in the Fall 2003 Software Engineering class taught by Dr. Art White. It is currently in beta and is being field tested in several locations around the world. |
